How do you see the new move by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, FRCN to enforce the Good Governance Code (Law) though now suspended that requires all church General Overseers, Bishops, Pastors, Apostles, Prophets, Imams etc, not to stay in office indefinitely and for them to be accountable in terms of church finances to their members?
What the government is doing by touching the church amounts to prying into the things of God. We must all appreciate that the unity of this country is being sustained by unceasing prayers from the church. And any misguided law that affects the church does nothing to the General Overseer. It can only weaken the power of the church and therefore its capacity to discharge its spiritual duties that for a long time, have helped wield the people together as one nation. No one must trivialize the role of the church. As advanced as the US, it recognizes God
