The nation’s 23rd indigenous Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu appears to be the last hope of the family of Ndudi Valentine Mmadudilim who was detained since April 2024 without trial at RRS Ukwuzu Anambra state.

It would be recalled that Mr. Ndudi Valentine Mmadudilim, was detained at Repaid Respond Squard RRS Ukwuzu Anambra state, after he was first arrested and detained by Ozubulu vigilante officials, led by Mr Jude Ononuju.

He was later charged to court and was granted bail by Magistrate, O. I Nworah, upon discovery that the alleged confessional statement was not signed by anyone not even the vigilante chairman.

He was alleged to have been arrested by the police with a gun. On that grounds, the magistrate granted him bail with the sum of ₦500,000 surety, and directed that the original case file be transmitted to the state Arthoney General.

Curiously, the police rearrested him in the same court premises on April 2024, and ever since then, the family has not set their eyes on him.

A family source revealed that the wife with her three children had to relocate to the village. The source revealed that she could not continue to remain in the husband’s family house, whereas, the husband’s whereabout remained unknown in the last two years.

Investigation revealed that the matter was brought to the IGP’s knowledge, after a family friend put a call to the IGP on the 2nd of May 2026, disclosing how the officers at the Rapid Respond Squard RRS Ukwuzu Anambra state, has continuously frustrated the family, and refused to disclose if their son is still alive or dead, it was after the call according to findings, that the IGP directed that the family put up a petition and forward to his office.

Expectedly, on March 31,2026, the family sent a petition to the Inspector General of Police. For now mum is the word but the family members are hopeful that Ndudi Valentine Mmadudilim’s whereabout will be known now that the case has been brought to the attention of the No. 1 police officer in Nigeria.

Time will tell.
