President Calls for National Conference
After so many years of controversy concerning the call for a sovereign national conference, President Goodluck Jonathan, in a nationwide broadcast,named a committee that will advise the federal authorities on the structure and modalities of the national conference/dialogue. Indeed, the decision of the President has been well applauded by Nigerians basically because the call for a national conference by well-meaning Nigerians has been severally ignored by previous leaders and for President Jonathan to emphasise the imperativeness of the conference and one week after, he went ahead to inaugurate the 13-man committee to prepare the grounds for the conference is to us a mark of patriotism and good leadership.
