While Muhammadu Buhari has been commended for ordering a clean-up of the heavily polluted Ogoniland in Rivers State, many observers say the restoration of that community will be incomplete without a strict adherence to and full implementation of the UNEP report

Since 1958 when Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, began oil exploration in Ogoniland, Rivers state, the community has not been what it used to be. Infact, life
