Prince SOLOMON ABUTOH is one personality that has royal blood flowing in him but he has refused to carry on like a Prince. He prefers to remain in the church serving God’s people. As a Prophet, he shines like a northern star. Wherever he is, the aura of a Prophet and that of a Prince that he is makes men tremble. On the few occasions that this Reporter has engaged him in both spiritual and secular matters, he has proven that he is a gift to mankind. Highly knowledgeable in philosophical, spiritual, and secular issues, Prince Prophet Abutoh in this interview spoke on a wide range of issues. Excerpts

By Ovie Edomi

QUESTION: You are a prince and prophet, how come you took to the spiritual calling and not going for the crown?

ANSWER: The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5”Before I formed thee in the belly, I know thee” and before thou comest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee and ordained thee prophet to the nations so it’s a case of predestination by God. Besides my father used to call me Pope, His friend the Oba of Benin gave me a special name.

QUESTION: After the demise of your Father who became the first King of Oghara kingdom in the 50’s there have been crises upon crises, is there something members of the public or Oghara people do not know about Oghara Kingdom that is lingering?

ANSWER: My Father of blessed memory, His Royal Majesty M.A ABUTOH, OBA OREFE II, JP, MFR, was prevailed upon, after repeated delegations to the police authorities to release him ahead of retirement while he has serving in Ibadan. My father later became the first king of Oghara kingdom but some reactionary force ganged up against him and stripped him of his right and privileges. At the point of his departure while nursing strong ill feelings,  he naturally, placed a curse on Oghara. It will be recalled that His Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan,  an itsekiri man that grew up in Oghara axis, then governor of Delta State, without enough consultation with major stakeholders like my father’s house of which I am the head, appointed Chief Noble Etsemitan as the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom. This action I promptly faulted in my publication in (Urhobo Voice. Other well-meaning Oghara citizens took up the matter and went into litigation, culminating in the February, 2022 lead judgment delivered by Justice Theresa Diai, Chief Judge of Delta State deposing Chief Noble Etsemitan as Ovie of Oghara and ordering refund  of all salaries and emolument received from the Delta state government. However some self–styled, power brokers are yet to come to terms with reality on ground and the futility of sidelining my father’s house and indeed me in the affairs of Oghara Kingdom. An air of confusion, uncertainty and perplexity will continue to hang over Oghara kingdom, take the proverbial sword of Damocles as long as this attitude persists.

QUESTION: What in your opinion needs to be done to address the kingship of Oghara Kingdom?

ANWSER: A river that forgets its source would dry up. The people of Oghara house have forgotten my father’s honest, sufferings and forthright rule. They are playing the Ostrich, even to the extent of asserting that I as the eldest surviving son and head of my father’s house is inconsequential, now they are moving in circles.

QUESTION: Many of your prophesy have come to pass across the globe. Would you like to recall and share any significant national and global event occurrences that you predicted which are relevant to our existence?

ANSWER: The restoration of 70 year old diplomatic/economic serge by the US against Cuba, via my letter to President G.W. Bush, dated 7th March, 2008. Next was my revealing of the mystery behind the bar beach surge which was delivered on 18th March, 2008 at the Oval office during the second tenure of President Bola Tinubu who was then Governor of Lagos State.

My letter was diligently implemented by Babatunde Fashola. My visit to the same oval office while Buba Marwa then a  Colonel and a Military Administrator of Lagos State in which I revealed to Mr. Bola Olupitan, Chief Security detail then that some people with military training were about to truncate his boss’s tenure.

A bomb was actually detonated on his convoy was attack around Sheraton Hotel. Maruwa who had two identical Peugeot 504 bullet proof cars, escaped on unhurt Marwa currently heads the NDLEA (Federal Anti-narcotics Agency) I realized that my letter to Late President Laurent Kabila of D.R CONGO dated 2nd August, 2000 warning on his handling of the crisis expertly in the eastern part of this country which he ignored. Kabila was shot at close range by his bodyguard; Major Rachidi from Kivu Province Kabila died two hours after at a Lunbubashi Hospital.

QUESTION: Were there any prophetic warnings from you to any of our national leaders that were not adhered to, that have any consequences on our national life?

ANSWER: The one that readily comes to mind was my prediction dated 6th August, 2013 one that touched on national and global servers titled Nigeria 2015 and Beyond. Dr. Ebele Jonathan was the president of Nigeria the warning was that come 2015, there would be blood shed across the length and breadth of Nigeria. There would be food scarcity, insecurity through the land etc. On the global aspect, I warned that YAHWEH was going on the rumble, and was set to demonstrate His power sovereignty over this sinful wicked, defied and stiff-necked generation there would be no superpower in this matter, the Vatican. Inclusive Manifestation of HIS warnings are evident in the massive flooding of the Carolina, Texas, Florida, and New York fair. Huge blaze that destroyed hundreds of acres in Colorado and part of Canada suffered flooding with sand pains subsisted for days, 2019 Canada pandemic that killed hundred globally, the US alone accounted for 500,000 souls. The pandemic grounded several airlines and related businesses many of them are yet to recover, if they even will. There was be flooding and land slide in the fallopian, Japan.

Another is the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24th February, 2022. One year on, this war has not only inflicted horrendous destruction of use and property on Ukraine, but has created energy, food and financial crises across the world. The US Dollar which hitherto was dominant currency off international trade, is now being strongly challenged by allies Iran, China, North Korea, Saudi Arabia including Russian, an old time of the US with no credible sign is to the end of the war.

QUESTION: There are speculations that a certain religion wants to dominate the country and plans to Islamize it. And as a plot to actualized it, the followers are everywhere in Nigeria. Do you foresee this happening in the near future?

ANSWER: As I rightly predicted in 2013 warning in a situation where the pattern of killings abduction and destruction from the North East Central, West especially the middle belt, it appears to lay some credence to this speculation. The recent statement credited to Former Governor of Kaduna State EI-Rufai that he would ensure Muslim domination of political power for 20 years also points to this alleged Islamization plot. When large sums of money in different currencies and military accoutrements were found by the DSS in the Kaduna office of a self-confessed negotiator and good friend of the bandits, with videos in the public domain, yet the country is yet to see any serious, concrete action against this fellow and his masters, one gets very worried  This development suggests a lip service to the Slogan of one Nigeria, when by their actions and utterances, certain people are pushing the nation over the precipice.

QUESTION: Banditry, kidnapping and tension have taken the central stage in several states of Nigeria yet the mosques and churches are all on the increase, what does that imply?

ANSWER: The terrorist know what they are doing by targeting Christian’s mainly dominated areas of Borno, Taraba, Kaduna, Benue and Plateau States. This is in addition to willful grazing and destruction of farmlands by Fulani herdsmen in the southern states. This is a dangerous trend.

QUESTION: The role of many clerics during the just concluded general election made mockery of many prophetic declarations and people are still wondering what went wrong with those claiming to be speaking after hearing from God. What is your reaction to this?

ANSWER: “Woe be Unto the pastors that scatter, the sheep of My pasture Saith the Lord” (Jeremiah 23:1) ”I have not spoken to them yet they prophesied” (Jeremiah 23:21). When people for filthy lucre falsely speak for the Lord, they always end up disappointed. Isaiah 44:24-26 and also Jeremiah 27:18.

QUESTION: There are lots worries in Nigeria of today, can we as a people get out of the woods?

ANSWER: Nigeria from the beginning can best be described is a beleaguered nationality of a Federated Microcosms. The hitherto subtle domination of other minorities by the major tribes, specially the north has unfortunately become so brazen and this dangerous dimension of what appears to ethnic cleaning is capable of making even the weakened people to say enough is enough.

QUESTION: What do we need to do as a country to change the narrative?

ANSWER: The bible says in the book of Psalm 127:1 “Except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that built it; except the Lord watch over a city, the watchman watches but in vain” Proverbs 29:18 says “The people perish for lack of vision: Belief in the Lord thy God, so shall ye be established; Believe His Prophet so shall ye prosper” (II Chronicles 20:20).

QUESTION: Only recently, a pastor who went to a native doctor to do charms ended up being killed by the native doctor. Does that suggest that the proliferation of religion is beginning to cause big problem for the church?

ANSWER: There is no proliferation of religion as such; we have people laying claims to one divine calling or the other infuriating the church with no clear mandate. In the confusion, they resort to seeking power from all manner of sources to sustain their claims. The book of Jeremiah 23:1 says “Woo be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture saith the LORD”.

QUESTION: Again Pastors of churches are found impregnating church members. Something that was never associated with the early church. What is happening to the end-time church?

ANSWER: Acts 1:8 says” But ye shall receive power after that the “Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witness unto Me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. There can’t be genuine power in absence of the Holy Ghost.

QUESTION: The discovery of crude oil which was considered a big blessing has rather devastated most oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta. What is your perspective to the whole scenario, especially as someone from an oil producing community?

ANSWER: My interview on the Niger Delta which was published in the Punch newspaper  of 10th June, 2006  explained it. God’s-given oil to the Niger Delta ought to have been a blessing but for the human factors. The Federal Government of Nigeria placed oil matters in the exclusive legislative, list. Allocation of the oil blocks has been unfairly almost exclusively done in favour of the northern oligarchy. Sensitive positions in foreign oil producing companies, whose headquarter edifices are located outside the Niger Delta area, are manned by non-Delta region indigenes. Come to think of it, not that we lack qualified personnel. Environmental degradation, which negatively affected the livelihood and health of the natives including gas flaring which have not been properly addressed since 1956, when crude oil was first discovered in commercial quantity in Oloibiri. This unbearable condition compelled the youths to take to militancy.  Today, crude oil accounts for nearly 90% of Nigeria foreign exchange earnings yet the goose that lays the golden egg is left to wallow in abject poverty. No good roads connecting states of the region, no proper health facilities that the natives can access. The resultant effect is that life expectancy is dropping at an alarming rate. All the foot-dragging relating to the petroleum industry bill turned out to be a rape of the Niger Delta people

They established NDDC in Port Harcourt but the same people turned around to collect all the juicy contacts. When Senator Godswill Akpabio started naming them, they asked him to off the microphone.

While the Federal Government controls the exploitation of crude oil, the export of gold and other minerals is done exclusively by the northern, while the proceeds go into private pockets. For the past 8 years, the NNPC allocated a colossal sum of money to prospect for oil in the Chad basin with nothing to show for it.

After grounding the nation’s four refineries, the NNPC suddenly moved to transform it into NNPC Ltd.

The Militants never attacked mosques and churches. They never abducted students from schools, forcing the female ones into marriage in the forests. The militants never engaged in mindless killings, razing, and destroying entire communities and farmlands. Boko Haram has consistently spurned the de-radicalization, rehabilitation, and integration initiatives of the past administration

The nation is being pushed towards the precipice. When the centrifugal belt snaps it will be an ill wind. They that have ears let them hear.

QUESTION: The government has gradually taken over the traditional institution unlike the pre-independence era what does that portend?

ANSWER: Government interface and control of the traditional institution is a bad omen; this attitude is also playing out in the selection process of leadership in the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Pentecostal fellowship. Government wanting to set up a board of Churches they never built. The dictatorial tendencies of politicians’ absolute power not wanting anybody from the church or traditional institution to caution them; even when they are running the shop of State ground. Ascendancy to the leadership position of tradition and church is one thing government fails to realize their largely spiritual, one temporal indicating the other celestial or heavenly.

Imposing the wrong person means the relevant primordial unseen powers that usually guide and protect them meddling with the rightful occupants usually brings problems when Abacha dethroned Sultan Dasuki and replaced him with Maccido did Abacha too last for long? Also Governor AJumobi now late dared the late Olubadan. He not only failed to install a successor, he died shortly after. Next Ganduje of Kano dared and dethroned Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Emir of Kano. I ask since Sanusi left has there been peace in Kano. I recall a recent meeting between traditional rulers and President Bola Tinubu during which His Royal Majesty, Oba Ogwuwasi Ojaja III, Ooni of Ife was courageous enough to speak out

QUESTION: What is your wish for the body of Christ and your fellow compatriots?

ANSWER: My admonition is as written in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 this “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear GOD and keep his commandments, For this is the whole duty of man: “For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil”. They that have ears, let them hear.
