An Agenda For President Buhari To Rejig NIMC For NIN Procurement
A new wind is blowing across Nigeria since Dr. Isa Ibrahim Pantami, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, in a statement issued by his Technical Assistant, Information Technology, Dr. Femi Adeluyi directed the newly inaugurated board of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC to revise the policy on the SIM card registration and usage. According to Dr. Pantami, the policy of the present Administration is to see how our SIM registration will be linked to our National Identification Card. Once this is done every person who has a national identity number, NIN, will automatically have his or her BVN linked to his NIN. And all of these will all be linked up to the Ministry’s Digital ID.
