Governors Okowa, Diri, Commission Projects in Delta.

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr.Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and his Bayelsa state counterpart Governor Douye Diri toaday 2nd of March 2021 commissioned some projects in Warri,Delta State.

The commissioned projects include;Ighogbadu secondary school ,Okumagba layout, Ubeji dual carriage road and Army day secondary school.

Okowa,who officially welcome His Excellency, Douye Diri to the Commissioning of the projects expressed joy in the completion of the projects. As is to be expected, Okowa promised to construct extra classroom blocks in the secondary schools to meet the educational needs of the people in the area. According to the Delta state Governor ” there is no amount of money and time that is too much to take care of the education of the people”.

In his speech, the Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri noted that the Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa led administration is building schools instead of building prisons. A development which he commended and noted that those who fail to build schools for the people should be ready to build prisons because lack of education will breed criminal minded persons in such society

Governor Diri while appreciating his Delta state Counterpart described him as a “Workaholic Governor”. noting that the school that produced him as a governor was a mud and zinc house but Dr. Okowa has gone ahead to erect gigantic structure

According to the Bayelsa State Governor,” I see Governors, presidents, lawyers, Doctors in the school built by Governor Okowa. He further commended the vision of Governor Okowa and the impact of his adminstration. A development which he described as resounding

Meanwhile, the Orosuen of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom in Warri, HRM. Emmanuel Ono Okumagba JP, Okumagba III appealed to the governor to employ qualified indigenes of the Community to work in the secondary school.

The Orosuen also urged the governor to give to Okere-Urhobo Community women opportunity to serve in this administration.
