In few months time, Nigeria will be struggling it out with other countries in the contest for Category C seat of the International Maritime Organisation’s council. If Nigeria wins the Category C seat, Nigeria would have proved to maritime nations, its capabilities in the the areas of seafarers training, infrastructural development, safety of Nigeria’s maritime domain as well as Nigeria’s commitments to international conventions and standards on Environmental Protection, seafarers welfare etc.

Giving the undeniable transformation in the nation’s maritime sector especially since the coming on board of a brand new Marine and Blue Economy Ministry, headed by Adeboyega Oyetola, inclusion in the IMO’S white list will be another feather to Oyetola’s cap and a testament to the Federal Government of Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to international standards. It is in this regard, that the editorial board decided to set agenda with it’s current story titled:MAN, Oron Affiliation to IMO: How Nigeria’s Training Potentials Is Attracting Impressive Global Maritime Ratings

The story no doubt turned out to be the edition’s cover story.indeed this cover story is unputdownable and a must read.
